"When She Loved Me"

I was young,
too stupid to realize
That she loved me.

I came to realize,
It was a big surprise
That she loved me.

The wisdom of life has settled in,
reflecting on what might have been,
That she loved me.

It was a long time ago,
my life was like a rodeo,
and she loved me.

I thought there‚d be holding hands,
long before any wedding plans,
if she loved me.

The wisdom of life has settled in,
reflecting on what might have been,
That she loved me.

The wisdom of life has settled in,
reflecting on what might have been,
That she loved me.

"Secret Rendezvous"

You‚re so hot,
I‚m so cool,
Why don‚t we have a secret rendezvous?

Meet for lunch,
Just we two,
We‚ll have a rendezvous in the shadows.

I love you,
And I know you love me too,
We‚ve got to keep this love scene growing.
We‚ve got to keep this flame a glowing.

The kids are sleeping we can‚t make noise,
If we dance around we might kick their toys,
We need some time to get together,
To have some love in our bed of feathers,
We‚ve got to keep this love scene growing.
We‚ve got to keep this flame a growing.

You‚re so hot,
I‚m so cool,
Why don‚t we have a secret rendezvous?

Meet in the Park,
Yeah, Just after dark,
We‚ll have a rendezvous in the shadows.

I‚ll kiss you,
And I know you‚ll kiss me too,
We‚ll keep this love flame glowing.
We‚ll keep this love thing a growing.

Let‚s have a rendezvous in the shadows.
Let‚s have a rendezvous in the shadows.
Let‚s have a rendezvous in the shadows.

Hawaiian Sunshine
by Walt Perko Copyright 2001

Just feelin‚ fine.
I‚m havin‚ a good‚ol time.
Drink a little wine.
Stay‚in warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

There ain‚t nothin‚ to do.
‚cept, hang around with you, and
Drink a little wine,
and stay warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

Tired of corporate life.
Tired of the stress ‚n the strife.
Drink a little wine.
Stay‚in warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

There ain‚t nothin‚ to do.
Except, hang around with you, and
Drink a little wine,
and stay warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

Politics of life.
Backstabbin‚ with a corporate knife.
Drink a little wine.
Stay‚in warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

There ain‚t nothin‚ to do.
Except, makin‚ love to you, and
Drink a little wine,
and stay warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

Hangin‚ on the beach.
Watchin‚ surfer‚s ridin‚ their heat.
Drink a little wine.
Stay‚in warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

There ain‚t nothin‚ to do.
Except, hang around with you, and
Drink a little wine,
and stay warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

Take a toke, take a lot.
The afternoon is goin‚ to pot.
Drink a little wine.
Makin‚ love in the Hawaiian sunshine.

There ain‚t nothin‚ to do.
Except, makin‚ love to you, and
Drink a little wine,
and stay warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

There ain‚t nothin‚ to do.
Except, hang around with you, and
Drink a little wine,
and stay warm in the Hawaiian sunshine.

When Are You Comin‚ Home Johnny Boy
by Walt Perko copyright 20040601

When are you comin‚ home Johnny Boy, Johnny Boy?
When are you comin‚ home Johnny Boy?
From the War in Iraq, Please Don‚t Come Home on your Back.
When are you comin‚ home Johnny Boy?

Johnny‚s Home, Where‚s he been?
Over there, over there.
In Iraq where the war is, over there.
Fighting for the Bush regime,
Fighting for a losing scheme,
Johnny‚s home without his arms, legs or hair.

In Iraq what are they fighting for, fighting for?
in Iraq what are they fighting for?
Is it oil? Is it Peace?
Is it for the corporate fleece?
In Iraq what are they fighting for?

more possible phrases;

From the War in Iraq it seems there‚s no comin‚ back ...

‚cause the war over there is giving all the world a scare ...

When are you comin‚ home GI Jane, GI Jane?

Anyway, the idea is the warning people here are saying to their loved ones ...

If you got a phrase for this song send it to me ... if I find acceptable you will be a co-writer to the song!

Yvonnes Submission:
"From the War in Iraq, I can‚t wait to have you back"
"From the War in Iraq, Can‚t wait to get you in the sack"

Mr. Shallow goes to Hawaii
By Walt Perko copyright 19991208

I went to Hawaii just to get me a lei,
When I got off the plane I was sorry to say,
That there just weren‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

I got myself a rental car and drove to the beach,
I kicked around the sand while I looked for a peach,
But there just weren‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

A circle of flowers hangin‚ around my neck,
A sympol of love, hey what a kick,
A passion of love and Peace and Goodwill,
That a circle of flowers could give me a thrill.

A beautiful woman to give me a kiss,
A hug and a lei, oh what the bliss,
Does that Big Island tale really exist,
No there just weren‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

I got a rental cottage down in Paradise Land,
Played with dog‚s ‚n chicken‚s underneath the palm stand,
But there just weren‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

So I bought myself two acres in Paradise,
A cute little home, it looks very nice,
and there still ain‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

A circle of flowers hangin‚ around my neck,
A symbol of love, Hey what a kick,
A passion of love and Peace and Goodwill,
That a circle of flowers could give me a thrill.

A beautiful woman to give me a kiss,
A hug and a lei, oh what the bliss,
Does that Big Island tale really exist,
No there just ain‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

No, there just weren‚t any friggin‚, half-naked women to lei me.

I Work Too Damn Hard
By Walt Perko

I work damn hard
I‚m working through the weekend
I‚m watching my life pass me by
Ain‚t got enough money to pay the mortgage
I wanna know the reason why

My baby done left me
She took all my money
She just gone and left me with a lie
She took my new Chevy
Anything that weren‚t heavy
I think I‚m gonna cry

I ain‚t got love
I ain‚t got no prospects
I only have misery

I‚m lookin‚ for love
I only find heartache
This ain‚t where I ought to be

To love a good woman
To give her it all
I just need the opportunity

To have a full life
A wife and two children
Is where I‚d like to be

But I work damn hard
I‚m working through the evening
Fatigue is my company

I need a good woman to lift my spirits
To be there and comfort me
To be there and comfort me

Itchin‚ ‚n Scratchin‚ ‚n Dancin‚ Under the Moon
By Walt Perko ... copyright 1996

I know my baby does love me
I know that I really care
We‚re itchin‚ ‚n scratchin‚ ‚n dancin‚ under the moon
We‚re itchin‚ ‚n scratchin‚ ‚n dancin‚ under the moon

My baby said she needs me
My baby said she‚d please me
My baby said she wants to be my pal

We‚re itchin‚ ‚n scratchin‚ ‚n dancin‚ under the moon
We‚re itchin‚ ‚n scratchin‚ ‚n dancin‚ under the moon

"God Save the Trees"
by Walt Perko Copyright 1991

[Rapid talking like in a news story . . .]
Walking through the woods we see the birds ‚n squirrels ‚n there‚s the trees. But what‚s happening all around us are people taking away the beauty that we need. In the rain forests they are cutting down the trees by the thousands every day, every hour, every minute. If we don‚t stop it soon our beautiful world will die. We may miss our chance for a medical cure, or stopping world hunger through some discovery. It‚s not somebody else‚s job, it‚s ours to stop this disastrous and cruel treatment of our world. We have to write our congress and start cleaning up our mess‚ and learn to recycle everything we use.

We‚ve got to try and save the world,
we‚ve got to try and save the trees.
Our future will depend on us,
so we can‚t kill it with our greed . . . There goes another tree ...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There goes another species ...

We‚ve got to try and save the world,
we‚ve got to try and save the trees.
The rain forest can provide our life,
and meet changing medical needs . . . There goes another tree ...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There goes another species ...

We‚ve got to try and save the world,
we‚ve got to try and save the trees.
This polluting air is killing life,
don‚t kill me with your stupid greed . . . There goes another tree ...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There goes another species ...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There goes another tree ...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There goes another species ...

We‚ve got to try and change the world,
we‚ve got to change both you and me,
to try and make a better life,
we‚ve got to stop this stupid greed . . . There goes another tree ...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There goes another species ...

Someone come help and save the world,
someone come help and save the trees.
Our children‚s future depends on us,
so we can‚t kill it with our greed. There goes another tree ... There goes another species ...

"Santa‚s WorkShop"
by Walt Perko copyright 1988

This song is intended for a short cartoon film ... maybe a childrens mini-DVD

See the elves in Santa‚s workshop,
Making toy‚s for everyone.
They work so hard, they work together,
Having so much fun.

Cutting this and drilling that,
and carving, glueing, sanding and,
they work so hard in Santa‚s workshop,
Having so much fun.

Suddently a gear will break,
someone has made a big mistake!
Watching repairs while on their break,
‚till someone say‚s‚ "Hey!, we‚re running late!"

They start the motors, and the grinding,
Moving parts are all around.
They have such fun in Santa‚s workshop,
Singing little song‚s.

They have such fun in Santa‚s workshop singing this here song.
